FishTrail Privacy Policy

FishTrail respects your privacy. The app is designed for fishing spots, catches, gear, weather and trip reviews, with local-first storage.
1. Data we process
Users may save spot names, locations, tags and notes; catch records, species, size, weight, photos and notes; gear, gear setups and maintenance records; trip records, review summaries and mood ratings; achievements, XP and local profile data on the device. FishTrail does not upload these records to developer servers by default.
2. Location permission
The app requests while-in-use location permission for adding spots, logging catches and reading current weather. It does not request background location. Fishing spots are private by default and precise coordinates are not public by default.
3. Camera and photos
The app may request camera and photo library permissions so users can take or choose catch, spot and gear photos. Photos are stored locally by default and used for records created by the user.
4. Apple account
The app provides an optional Sign in with Apple binding entry to mark an account in the local profile and merge local experience. Login is not required.
5. Fishing Pro subscription
Fishing Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple StoreKit. The developer does not directly receive payment information. Users can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID subscription settings.
6. Export and deletion
The app provides a data export entry. Users can also delete local data in Settings. After deletion, local records cannot be recovered unless the user exported a backup beforehand.
