SeasonGrow Privacy Policy

1. Information we may process

SeasonGrow does not require users to create a public community profile. Depending on the features you choose to use, the app may process the following information:

• System-region reference: no GPS or manual city picker. The United States device region maps to San Francisco; all other regions map to Jiangsu. This public reference does not represent your actual location.
• Weather queries send public reference coordinates rounded to two decimal places to Open-Meteo, not your precise location.
• Garden records, such as plant name, sowing date, growth stage, garden location notes, care records, My Garden content and growth photos.
• Reminders and preferences, such as care reminder time, notification permission status, unit settings, growing conditions and in-app preferences.
• Purchase status, if you use a Plus subscription. The app may read subscription status, product type, validity and restore-purchase results through Apple StoreKit to provide unlimited plant records and a 30-day care schedule (the free tier allows ten plants and a five-day schedule). We do not directly collect bank card numbers, Apple ID passwords or payment credentials.
• Support communication information, such as your email address, message content, screenshots, device model, system version and app version when you contact us by email.

2. How information is used

The information above is used mainly to:

• Provide home growing suggestions, season calendars, growth stages and plant details.
• Show weather-related growing risk notices, such as heat, rain or frost.
• Save My Garden, garden records, growth stages, reminder preferences and interface settings.
• Send local notifications for care tasks such as watering, fertilizing, transplanting and harvesting.
• Determine and restore Plus subscription access. JSON and garden data export are not available.
• Handle feedback, troubleshoot issues, improve stability and complete necessary compliance communication.

3. Storage and service providers

Garden records, garden profile data and reminder preferences are mainly stored on the user's device. Depending on your iOS settings, some local data may be handled through system backup.

• Weather services: Open-Meteo receives public reference coordinates mapped from the system region, not user GPS coordinates.
• Apple StoreKit / App Store: used for in-app purchases, subscription status and restore purchases.
• Plant images: catalog illustrations are product assets. Your growth photos stay on device and are not sent to AI services.
• Email services: when you actively send a support email, the email service processes information needed for that communication.
• SeasonGrow has no account system and does not integrate advertising or analytics SDKs, does not sell personal information and does not use your garden records for public display or marketing materials.

4. Permissions

The app requests no location permission and has no manual city picker. Camera permission is used for growth photos. Care reminders use local notifications, which can be disabled in iOS Settings. Offline, the local plant catalog and saved records remain available, but weather cannot refresh.

5. Deletion and controls

You can manage garden records, reminders and preferences in the app, but JSON and garden data export are not available. Deleting the app usually removes app data stored on the device. If you need help with privacy or data questions, contact us by email.

6. Boundaries

SeasonGrow provides everyday reference suggestions for home growing. It does not promise yield, survival rate or food-safety outcomes, and it does not replace professional agriculture, gardening, medical, food-safety or outdoor-safety advice.

7. Updates

We may update this policy as product features, legal requirements or service providers change. Updated terms will be shown on this page with the date above.
